Principal Message

What a great week! Thank you to the Wilmot Youth Action Council for a great Play 60 evening. We had a great turnout with many students and their families for this event. Families are encouraged to keep moving for the month of February. Once all of the students record their total, we will have a wrap-up assembly.

Addition of PA Day for 2015-16 School Year

As a result of recent labour agreements, an additional Professional Activity Day (PA Day) has been added to the 2015-2016 School Year Calendar for both elementary and secondary students. Trustees approved Friday, February 26, as the additional PA Day, at the January Board Meeting.

School administrators are presently reviewing school activities planned for February 26th. Every effort will be made to reschedule activities that have been planned for this day.

This PA Day will be dedicated to Ministry initiatives that support student learning and well-being. In addition, for elementary staff, planning continues for a half session focused on Health and Safety.

Crayola Markers

Crayola has launched Crayola ColorCycle to collect and repurpose used markers. Just 8.3 pounds of plastic (markers) can be made into 4 litres of fuel for cars. If you have old used markers (doesn’t have to be Crayola), please send them to school. This initiative will be used as a task for our Green Team.

Me to We Arts Night

If you are interested in helping out with a community Spring Arts Night, please plan to attend a special meeting on February 4 at 7 p.m. in the library. Parent support is needed to organize this event.
