Tomorrow, Friday, February 27, students are encouraged to wear the colours they think would make good school colours. The school is looking to changing the school colours (currently they are green and red) and the students in room 3 will be looking for the great colour combinations as they visit classes. Students will also receive a free slice of pizza for participating in the Hour of Code during the first nutrition break.

Tuesday, March 3 at 9:00 a.m. is the new deadline for placing an East Side Mario’s pasta lunch for Wednesday, March 4. Orders can be placed through School Day.

New Dundee Public School invites you to submit a logo design for the school. Any New Dundee Public School student, parent, sibling, relative, or neighbors are eligible for the contest. Come up with a dragon image and keep it simple, creative and original. You can include up to four colours. Judging will be done by a group of New Dundee students, staff, school council members, and community members. It will be based on originality, design quality, and visual impact.

Entries become the sole property of New Dundee Public School and will not be returned. New Dundee Public School has the right to modify the design to meet the graphic requirements. Entries must be 8 ½” by 11” in size (vertical format). The following information must appear with each entry: name, home address, phone number, and name of student (if applicable). The winning design will receive a free t-shirt and the student’s class will receive a class party. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Michelutti. Entries are due to the office by Friday, March 6.

School Council is still looking for 3 volunteers (Grandparents are great for this role!) to help out on Thursday, March 5 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. during the Staff Appreciation Luncheon. If you are able to help, please email andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.on.ca. During this team, volunteers will be supervising students as they participate in Little Ray’s Reptile Show.

To help the office improve communication with parents, a survey has been created to collect data to see the most common forms of communication parents use. The office is looking for feedback to ensure parents are part of the school community.
