Thank you to all of the parents for helping with the colour house challenge. With the students, staff, and parents, we were able to form a circle around the entire school! Great job New Dundee Dragons!

Monday, April 27 is Colour House Day. Show your #NDDpride by wearing your house colours.

French Soirée: Bonjour à tous et à toutes!

You are cordially invited to a French Soirée hosted by Mme. Upton and students at New Dundee PS! It has been a great start to the French program at New Dundee, and we want to give our parents and families an opportunity to come to the school and meet the new French teacher! There will be authentic French treats and a few more surprises! You won’t want to miss out.

Please join us on Thursday, May 14 between 3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the French Room

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mme. Upton at the school. Hope to see you there! À bientôt!

East Side Mario’s Pasta lunch: Your East Side Mario’s Pasta lunch orders are due Tuesday morning by 9:00 a.m. The orders for the rest of the year are available on School Day.

Music Monday: Please sign the permission form for your child to attend the Music Monday field trip on May 4. If you are free, please join us as we walk to Maple Heights (1108 Queen Street) and sing for our neighbours.

Music Concert: We are excited for our Music Concert on May 6 (12:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) at New Dundee Public School! Our students will be performing the songs they wrote, produced, and recorded last fall with Katherine Wheatley. Due to limited number of seats available, we would like to determine how many families are planning on attending and the number of chairs that need to be set up. We are limited to the number of chairs permitted in our gym which is 220. Please fill out the survey to help us plan for this event.

Me to We: On Wednesday, April 29 at 12:00 p.m., the students will participate in a mini Me to We Assembly. The Me to We team is currently raising money to purchase goats to help communities in Sierra Leone. For families in developing communities, a goat can open a world of possibilities. A dairy goat means daily nutrition from milk. Selling mik means ongoing income to pay for school fees or medicine. Or a breeding goat can be an investment that will grow and one day multiply into a herd.

In December, the Me To We team raised $600 by selling Rafiki Bracelets and having a bake sale. The goal is to raise $2000.

The Me to We team has a few fun events coming up:

Pie the Me-to-We students and teachers in the face. Students have an opportunity to purchase ballots for $1.00 to be entered in a draw to pie a Me-to-We team member. This will take place at our Mini We Day Assembly on Wednesday

Ford Canada will be at the Victoria Day Community Garage Sale, and offering test drives of popular Ford models. For each person who test drives a vehicle, Ford will donate $20 to our cause!

Small Events – We will be having a few days where students will have an opportunity to participate for a small donation in activities e.g. ‘Wearing a Hat’ all day long.

The Me to We team is thankful for the support they have received from the students and their families so far this year!
