Thursday, February 18: Crowns, Capes and Colours

Eastwood’s Integrated Arts Program will be visiting New Dundee P.S. to perform Crowns, Capes, and Colours. This student written and directed piece of children’s theatre, music and dance is the story of a girl who feels bullied at school, but through her dreams learns about heart, bravery, persistence, and strength which allows her to find value in herself and make others feel valued.

Thursday, February 18: Dance-a-thon Kick Off Assembly

On February 18 at 2:45 p.m., Professor Jamz will be launching our dance-a-thon which will take place on March 2. We are hoping for all students to collect pledges to help pay for buses for field trips, updating our technology, and purchasing additional equipment for the field. We are looking for volunteers to count money and sell glow merchandise during the dance-a-thon. If you are able to help, please email andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.on.ca.

Friday, February 19: Report Card
s

Report cards for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 will be sent home on Friday. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Crayola Markers

Crayola has launched Crayola ColorCycle to collect and repurpose used markers. Just 8.3 pounds of plastic (markers) can be made into 4 litres of fuel for cars. If you have old used markers (doesn’t have to be Crayola), please send them to school. This initiative will be used as a task for our Green Team.
