Principal Message

I would like to thank our students, family and staff for a great three years at New Dundee Public School. I have enjoyed getting to know each student through their work in the classroom and how they demonstrated leadership and respect in the school.

School council and the staff would like to invite you to the school on March 31 between 2:40 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. for a farewell assembly and social event as we say goodbye to Ms. Michelutti . Please contact the office for more information.

Great Work Dragons!

The students and their families worked extremely hard during our Play 60 challenge last January. Our students worked towards moving more for 60 minutes each day. I am excited to announce that our school has won a visit from an NFL player!

Super Bowl champion Golden Tate, currently a wide receiver from the Detroit Lions will be coming to New Dundee on April 13 for a special event. All students are encouraged to wear the colours of the Detroit Lions – white, black, silver and Honolulu blue. The events planned for this day are top secret (I promise that this will be a day to remember). More information will be shared about the event in the next few weeks. Volunteers are needed for a task that needs to be completed this week to prepare for the Play 60 event. If you can volunteer for an hour or two on Tuesday or Wednesday or would like more details, please email andrea_michelutti@wrdsb.on.ca.

Spiritwear
Spirit wear will be available on School-Day until Monday, March 28. We need to have a minimum of 12 orders per item. If we cannot meet the minimum, we will contact parents to make a different selection.
Below is a sizing chart for the youth t-shirts and hoodies.
Youth sizes XS (2-4), S (6-8), M (10-12), L (14-16), XL (18-20)

Happy Easter
Have a Happy Easter! The school will be closed on Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28 for the Easter holiday.

Community Information
Easter Egg Hunt
Please join the Optimist Club of New Dundee on Saturday, March 26 at 9:00 a.m. at the New Dundee Park.

Beyond the Bell
Please join the after-school program at the New Dundee Community Centre every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for students in Grade 3 to Grade 6. This program is sponsored by the Healthy Kids Community Challenge. For more information, please email lacy.smith@wilmot.ca.
