Principal’s Message
In my first full week here I have been remarkably impressed by the amount of student engagement I see in classrooms. Aside from the friendliness and helpfulness of the students toward me (of whom many have offered to show me around, help me unpack, or just see if I needed anything) they are very caring and sensitive toward each other. This is a testament to the staff here at New Dundee. I look forward to working with the students and staff to support everyone in the great work that goes on here every day. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know the many parents who have stopped in so far and look forward to meeting many more at upcoming events.

Wednesday approaches – Play 60 Challenge
The NFL Canada stopped by the school today to do some logistical planning for our Wednesday player visit. This will be a day to remember around New Dundee P.S. and the excitement is continuing to grow daily as Super Bowl champion Golden Tate’s visit creeps closer. All students are encouraged to wear the colours of the Detroit Lions – white, black, silver and Honolulu blue. Volunteers are needed for a task that needs to be completed this week to prepare for the Play 60 event. If you can volunteer for an hour or two on Tuesday or Wednesday or would like more details, please call the school.
