The students at New Dundee Public School participated in an excited assembly to kick off our Play 60 Program. New Dundee Public School is one of four schools chosen to pilot Play 60 in Canada. The purpose of the program is to motivate students to move more before, during, and after school for at least 60 minutes. The school is encouraging their students, and extended school community, to get moving every day in January. The students received Play 60 wristbands from visiting NFL representatives today and will be receiving more prizes throughout the challenge.

Today The Ayr News, The New Hamburg Independent, and The Record were at school to report on this event. Our school’s involvement with Play 60 was also shared during the news on 570 this morning. The purpose of the program is to have students move more before, during and after the school day.
